 SCHEDULE:

  • Hourly
  • Hours may vary based on program needs
  • Full time; 8 hour/day - approximately 149 days per year


REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Special Education Teacher

SALARY: starting $18.00

QUALIFICATIONS:


Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred

  •  2 years of college credit or passing score on ParaEducator Test (or equivalent)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work with special education students
  • Follow IEP and Special Education Teacher instructions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 PHYSICAL FACTORS:

  • The ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.  May be exposed to adverse weather
  • Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeing 
  • Light Work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
