Sherri Broderius
Sherri Broderius is the District Superintendent.
Professionally, the most important thing to know about me is that I love working at MACCRAY. The students, staff and communities are terrific. I am proud of the new school and how it will be flexible and innovative for years to come. I can only dream of the lives it will touch through the work of teachers and staff using the building for great outcomes for students.
This is my 40th and final year in education. I started as a preschool teacher and substitute for a year. Then I got a job teaching third grade then after I got my Master's in Education I got to teach sixth grade. One day the superintendent called me to invite me to come to the high school at ACGC to become the principal. I grabbed the opportunity and did that work for 23 years. In the last several I also served as the superintendent there. I "retired" in 2017. I failed at it and one day got a call to come to MACCRAY in mid-year. I was ready to go back to work full time and took the offer. I have loved working here and appreciate the opportunity to get to know the Maynard, Clara City and Raymond people. The rest is history. Additionally, I want to mention that over my years in administration I have had the humbling honor to mentor somewhere near 20 people into administration.
In my personal life I am a farm wife who helps on the farm whenever I can. I love to make lunches, pick rocks, give rides and help wherever I can. (Hauling corn headers and bean reels down the highway is my least favorite job.) My husband and I raised two children William (wife Laura) and Samantha (husband David). We also have two stunningly beautiful German shepherds, Victor and Violet.
